Learn As You Grow Scavenger Hunt
FoodWorks Alliance has partnered with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department, Muskingum County Literacy Foundation and Urban Greens for the Learn As You Grow: Community Garden Scavenger Hunt!

The Foodworks Alliance Community Garden is a new addition to the Muskingum County community garden scene this year. It is going to be a “sauce garden” – with all the ingredients necessary to make a pizza or marinara sauce.
The basics are tomatoes, peppers, onions, basil, thyme, and oregano. Flowers and a few more herbs may be added over time.
The trainees from the Recovery with a Purpose program will maintain the garden and will use the produce to make sauce when it is time.
These beds were assembled by our director, Amy and Betsy Rosser of Urban Greens. Most of the plants were donated by FWA Board President Mark Mechling, and the gardening equipment we are using was all provided to us last year via United Way of Muskingum, Perry & Morgan Counties.
